Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them!
Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.

Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the LORD spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water. Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it: The princes digged the well, the nobles of the people digged it, by the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. And Jotham ran away, and fled, and went to Beer, and dwelt there, for fear of Abimelech his brother.
